Design Specifications
The FLAGPOLE WORLD product range is based on high strength aluminium alloy tube (6063-T6) and comply with all relevant Australian Standards (AS1168-AS1170 Parts 1 and 2, AS1768, 1989 Wind Forces, 1664-1979 Aluminium Structure Code, 4100-1990 Steel Structures Code).
Each flagpole design is carefully analysed to ensure structural integrity for the expected conditions and endorsed by The Flagpole Association of Australia (FAA). All fittings and related components are carefully selected and tested for durability and aesthetics.
Our design engineers are available to answer any questions about our products and are pleased to consult on projects needing special requirements such as accessibility restraints, large flag flying, pole diameter restrictions, installations, protocol, etc.
Standard Flagpole:
- Consists of the following components:
- Highest quality aluminium alloy tube to specified length
- Steel spigot and flanged base plate (fabricated and hot-dipped galvanised)
- Galvanised steel anchor bolts and template
- Powder-coated white or natural clear anodised
- External rope halyard with pulley, cleat and flag clips
- Finial top
Options:
- Installation - including excavation, concrete footings, erection, etc.
- Tapered poles (to approximately one-third overall length)
- Wall-mounted flagpoles (with brackets)
- Anti-vandal internal halyards with locking collar door
- Powder-coating or anodising (selected colours as required)
- Hinged style base or tabernacle style base (for ease of lowering)
- Large range of finials (mushroom, bullet, acorn, spheres, etc)
- Base (flash)covers
Installation:
We carry out all installations with our own staff ensuring a professional job. Costs are based on a level site in normal soil and conditions. Should we encounter unexpected obstructions such as rock, clay, tree roots, etc, or are subject to council, union or other fees, then additional costs will apply. We also provide a delivery and erect only service to supplied footings for builders, contractors, etc.
