| Choosing the right pole |

How do you know which flagpole is the right one for your application? Please use the information below to help you select the correct pole.
I need a flagpole for my garden at home: A six metre, untapered tube (60mm diameter) with external halyard is an economical choice for residential applications. Best of all, they're simple to install! Most local Councils will permit you to install a flagpole to your property without a development application (provided it is not taller than six metres), however, we strongly urge you to contact your Council for verification. Incidentally, if you opt for a base-plate style footing, you can take your flagpole with you if you move house. Ask our staff for details.
I need a flagpole for my school: Did you know that Flagpole World is the preferred Public Works supplier? Our standard Public Works flagpole is 9M tall, has an internal 'anti-vandal' halyard and is available in white powder-coat or natural clear anodised finish. Technical and specification information sheets are available.
I need a flagpole for my business: If your building is single storey, consider a 6M or 7.5M flagpole. If your building is double storey, consider a 9M or 12M flagpole. Is space a problem? A vertical or angled wall-mounted flagpole could provide the solution. We can adapt one of our standard flagpoles to suit your application (usually) at no extra cost.
I want a smaller pole, bigger pole, banner pole, shade-cloth pole, etc: No problem! We can custom-build any pole to your specifications. Just contact our staff, name the size and we'll prepare a quotation for you.
I want to fly more than one flag: Besides creating too much wind-load for the average flagpole, it is not correct protocol to fly more than one flag per flagpole unless the pole is fitted with a yard arm. A yard arm is a nautical style horizontal bar which allows us to fly a total of three flags on one flagpole. Alternatively, we can build a pole to match your existing flagpole.
Where should I install my flagpole? Flagpoles can be installed to a concrete footing in the ground, to a wall or a rooftop. When selecting a location for your pole, allow sufficient space around the pole for your flag to fly and ensure it is clear of buildings, trees and overhead power lines. FLAGPOLES CONDUCT ELECTRICITY!
It's all too hard! If you require assistance, please contact our staff to arrange a site visit.
