It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that the product is operated within safe parameters and is maintained to a safe and sound condition. Flying of flags or banners not rated or recommended for a particular installation will result in rapid and serious wear.
CLEANING: To preserve the high quality finish of your flagpole, various parts and components should be thoroughly cleaned every six months. Use a mild detergent solution and a soft cloth. Never use abrasive or chemical cleaners.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE: This can be done each time the flags are removed or every two to three months.
Locking screws and sliding doors: Apply WD40 type lubricant to the locking screw threads. Apply a silicon spray lubricant sparingly to the sliding surfaces of the locking door.
Halyards, cleats, pulleys and clips: Inspect on a regular basis to prevent the possibility of normal wear and tear going unnoticed. The wear point of the rope (just above the top flag clip) should be checked every time flags are attached or removed. For internal halyards inspect the weighted necklace. This includes the face that wears against the pole and the area that attaches to the halyard.
Mounting bolts, spigots, etc: Check mounting bolts and spigots regularly (six months minimum) for tightness and corrosion.
NOTE: It is important to replace all worn or damaged items as soon as possible. If in any doubt about the condition or suitability of an existing installation, discontinue the flying of flags, banners, etc. All parts, service and advice are available from Flagpole World Pty Ltd.
